I am writing and emailing and guess what…growing tired of this blog. I have to admit to it, it is true. I grow tired of this simple, easy and generally over done platform. I have written in this bad boy for over three years. In these three years I have cataloged my man ups, downs and everything in between. You know more about me than most family or girlfriends.
But I don’t want to stop, so don’t worry dear reader. I just had to vent.
I’ve been doing bad on the diet again to. I haven’t gained any weight, but I should be 200 lbs right now and i’m 238. I am frustrated, but only with myself. O well, back on the bike and back on the road towards weight loss. I am shooting for 200 by Feb.’s end.
I am also shooting to be on ships by then. If you haven’t seen I have gotten the videos up on youtube so if you haven’t seen them you should check them out!

Other than that I have some writing to see too, a great email resource to tap, and on and on and on. I’ll be there, will you?
JG
No I have not dear readers. I have been busy.
What have I been doing you ask? Well how about:
Putting my videos up on youtube.
Finishing my website
Starting another book
Finishing my mailing to the cruise ship company
Starting a new business
Dating
And did I mention being awesome, I make a little time for that every day.
I am also doing other things which I should tell you about but the superstitious part of me wants to keep secret until they come about, so I will.
I apologize for bailing for the last two weeks as I know how loyal you all have been with keeping up with me. But I have been treading water to keep up with being a normal human being.
Well I have mailing lists to do this week, and invoices to send, promises to make and dreams to build.
I’ll try to make this a three post week to, it’s only fair!
Magically yours

I am going to teach you how to make change through politics for ten dollars and teach you a two step method to do it, so hold on!
I spend a lot of time around politicians, lawyers and higher ups. Where I live makes it a certainty that I will run into them, talk with them (many are my friends) and through my constant exposure I have learned a 2 step process to beating politicians everywhere.
So let’s be honest, politicians are powerful not because they have power but because they can seem to take in large amounts of information in a little amount of time and make informed decisions on it. The secret behind this is that politicians have people who work for them that spend their time and intelligence understanding issues, bills, laws, tax law, etc.
We have no way to deal with that large amount of information, politicians do, so they make the decisions while we watch. My two step process too beating politicians everywhere takes that fact and capitalizes on it.
The first step is to research candidates and find one you can identify with and trust.
WHAT!
Yep, step one requires you to find a politician you can relate and put your trust in. Spend your time on this part because you will be making a big decision. After you have identified one and begun to befriend him you can start on step two.
Step two revolves around you identifying things you are interested in, tax law, zoning regulations, historic areas, w/e. From here you find what makes you unhappy and take your problems and invite your politician to coffee, offer to pay and to keep the meeting short.
There are a lot of things you should and can do from here, I suggest reading ‘Good in a Room’ because it will teach you everything you need to get started on pitches and ideas and the book will supply you with a ton of info. on how to handle the meeting so you have a succesful outcome.
And if your politician doesn’t agree with you, or can’t help you, guess what! You don’t have to give up on them. They won’t agree with all your issues, but showing that you are competent and empathetic to issues and the politician will win their respect and they will be willing to meet with you later.
Alright gang, amazing post, really amazing (and worth the wait)
I’ll catch you later!
All the best

Ok so this weekend I went on a haunted tour. It was Marie Antoinette’s haunted Alton tour. This is their last year for the tour as the lady that started it is retiring. The tour is four hours long and included a trolley we rode around in. The cost for the event was $45.00. Now I know that the cost wasn’t that great, I have spent more on drinks for many meals, but that doesn’t change the fact that this price demands a level of quality (remember my full evening show at the Wildey was only 12.00 a ticket, and while it two hours shorter than this event mine was professionally produced and came with a standing ovation!).
So me and my buddy went with his wife. The event started at ten and ran till two. I was excited. I do many seances and psychic readings but I have never been on a ghost tour myself. We started at an old Masonic Lodge and right away I had a bad feeling (read bad, not haunted or worried, but bad as in ‘I don’t think this will be very good).
But I decided to let it ride and give it a chance. Boy was that a mistake. The whole time nothing happened. Granted I didn’t need to see a ghost or be scared, but I wanted to be entertained, made to laugh, wonder and gasp. What I got was a fat tour guide who couldn’t talk for long periods of time. He sat and weezed softly during the trolley ride as Alton ran beside us in silence. His lungs, crushed by fat and lack of exercise struggled quietly for breath as my $45.00 dissappeared into one of his many vest pockets.
Suffice to say I do not suggest this tour. I could go on about why but I would start name calling and saying very mean things…so I won’t.
So how do you avoid terrible products?
I have three techniques for this (which I should have applied)
1)Do not let yourself be pressured into purchase.
I was pressured by a friend into this. I bought in without researching and asking other people about it. Because of that I was sold on an idea, the idea blew.
2)Consider the method of delivery.
Who is selling you what you are buying, how are they selling it, is their transparency to what they are selling or is their message more important than their product. If so, tread lightly!
3)Finally, do not let urgency make your decision.
Is this their last year (it was for my tour, thank god) that’s okay, you don’t have to sign on because you might miss it. There will always, always, always in this world be more.
Well guys I won’t lie, I am down. Yep! It has happened, I have woke up these past few days and felt listless. I look around and feel that my accomplishing skills have lessened, that my drive has weakened and that I am a lazy bum.
BUT WHO CARES!
I get down, but guess what we all do. If you really wanted to look into it you would say I am down because I didn’t do any real shows last week, my sinuses are acting up and I am not sleeping well, it is Monday (I don’t think Monday itself is a bad thing, but it is the first day back on my diet after cheat day and I always feel a little unbalanced because of that), and I have not accomplished much these past three days.
My past three days plans got a little wonked up and instead of bouncing to new things I reread mediocre books, sat around and sipped coffee. Now don’t think my weekend sucked entirely. Saturday was a lot of fun, and I got to go all around St. Louis, music sounded sweeter and I saw a lot of people I have not seen in a while so I was happy.
But right now I am a little down. It is nothing bad and it does not upset me because
I KNOW THE CURE
The cure, for me that is (I can’t comment on others) is to work and hustle. Today I will work on my books, edit, make some contacts for shows and prepare for my cruise ship push in the next couple of days.
I will also cement this all by making a to-do list for the month. It seems pedantic until you start doing it and clicking things off it, then it gets to be addicting. I know a lot of people get into making weekly and daily lists, I don’t like that because I feel that making a list becomes a trigger.
So buck up Monday morning folks, there is free-lancing to be done, dreams to forward, goals to achieve, life to live!
Work and Hustle!

I finally received my video for the show! It turned out pretty well and I will be grabbing a friend to edit it into place for me in the next few days! I am really excited about this because everything I have been putting out the entire summer revolves around how this video, brand, website, everything, will be perceived by the right people.
I am excited and nervous and incredibly happy to have made it this far and I look forward to what this will lead me towards. I want to take a moment and once again thank everyone who helped me this summer, friends, business associates, designers, creators, hard workers and the like. I would also like to say to everyone that had nothing to do with what we accomplished but claims what we have done as yours, leave us alone you do not matter.
So this week sees the start of the fall season. I have a couple of emails to send out today to meet up with contacts, I have some shows to book, clients to catch up with and overall I am excited for the next couple of months to roll out because between the shows, setting up to leave this place and writing the new book (while editing the old one) doing freelance work and traveling I am so happy!
I am working on an article by the way. It is a non-fiction piece that revolves around an experience I had at a show this weekend. It will be a lot of fun to write and i’ll drop it off here first so you can all read it and catch up on the awesomeness of my life.
And I am thankful for this awesomeness!
I have things to do so I am signing off till next time.
All the best

I wanted to stop by and catch you guys up. I know I have been bad about updating last week, and yes I know it would only take ten minutes, and yes I know there are a lot of you (and a handful who have been here since the very beginning, three years, wow!) so I apologize. But I have been working on projects, traveling, living and so much more.
I wish you guys the best of fall and see you next time.
