Hey guys I have started putting up my posters!
I want to send a big thank you out to Parker Gibson who has helped me with them. He did a great job and used a little professionalism to draw out of me exactly what I wanted.
Rehearsals start tonight and I am excited and worried at the same time! It is always interesting rehearsing a show that takes place in two acts. Traditionally when rehearsing what you do is check your cues, set up your material and do a run through of the act. When you have an act that has both audio and video though rehearsing is a bit different. My act also relies a lot on people reacting and responding to me.
I am a talking act.
And it is always difficult to account for how people will react. So I will let you in on a trade secret that all the best talking acts use!
I have three routines in my show that I know the exact length of. Each of these routines are either done to music or just me talking. Their length never varies. Sooooo if one of my responding routines runs long I just make a mental note of it and cut one of the three routines.
So there is a good chance that if you have seen my show you have only seen one version of it! If you are asking why I have three routines that I can cut it is because they are all different lengths. Each routine plays at its own speed and if I need to I can cut a three minute, five minute or four minute routine.
Okay enough trade secrets.
